Richard Perry Davis, 80, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Carolinas Medical Center – Mercy.
He was born in Charlotte, NC, on the 5th of August, 1937. He was one of two children born to the late Russell “Red” Davis and Grace Robinson Davis. He worked with sheet metal for many years, and was employed at Ross & Wittmer, Southern Comfort, and his own business, Access Doors Unlimited. Richard was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and he served as an elder at the local Kingdom Hall.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3434 Miranda Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the Kingdom Hall. A private burial will be held for the family.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Jeanette Davis of Charlotte, NC; his daughter, Leisl Hollis and her husband, Eric of Tuxedo Park, NY; three nieces: Beverly Gordon, Carol Goodwin and Terre Rivera. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the worldwide work of Jehovah’s Witnesses. www.jw.org.
