John “Scooter” Robert Copeland

July 8, 1957 – August 17, 2020

John “Scooter” Robert Copeland, 63, of Charlotte, NC, passed away suddenly on Monday,  the 17th of August, 2020.  He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on the 8th of July, 1957.

John served in the United States Army and had a love for life and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He had a knack for storytelling with an infectious laugh. If John was laughing, you soon would be too. He collected Harley-Davidson motorcycle memorabilia for many years. He enjoyed time at the beach, the mountains, fishing, and hanging out with friends and family. John didn’t meet many strangers and he had several lifelong friends.

Some occupations he enjoyed were being a long-haul truck driver, working at a Harley-Davidson dealership, and a driver at a local trucking company.

John is preceded in death by both parents, Donald and Dorothy, and his brother, Wayne. He is survived by his brothers Rick and Phil and wife, Lora, sister Janet and husband, Tommy; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He will be laid to rest at Flint Hill Baptist Church in Fort Mill, SC on Monday, 24th of August, 2020 at 4:00 pm.
