John Gregory, Sr.

January 11, 1951 – September 15, 2020

John Gregory, Sr., 69, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, the 14th of September 2020 at Novant Health – Main.

He was born on the 11th of January, 1951 in Igoumenitsa, Greece, oldest of two sons, to the late Spyridonas Tsapukoglou and Anastasia Petridis Tsapukoglou.

John is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-seven years, Mariann Gregory; their four children: Spiro Tsapukoglou and his wife, Valanto; John Gregory, Jr.; Elaine Gregory and Phillip Gregory and his wife, Eleni; one granddaughter, Eleni Tsapukoglou; one brother, Alex Tsapukoglou and his wife, Sylvia and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in the United States and Greece.

The Gregory family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, the 21st of September, 2020 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.  The Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family asked that social distancing and mask-wearing for those attending be observed.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Attn: Pew Restoration Project, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC  28203.
