Cindy Plyler, 52, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Sunday evening, the 15th of April 2018 at Novant Health in Matthews.
She was born the 16th of October 1965 in Charlotte, NC, one of two children to Wanda Threatt Plyler and the late Alfred S. Plyler. In her professional career she worked in accounting, but she and her late husband, Vernon Brickey, worked tirelessly with the Metrolina Vietnam Veterans Association – feeding the homeless and collecting toys for children at Christmas. Cindy was one of the Carolina Tar Heels biggest fans.
A service to celebrate the life of Cindy will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, the 21st of April 2018 in the Historic Morehead St. Chapel of Ellington Funeral Services. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Wanda Suit; one brother, Alan Plyler and a niece, Lauren Plyler all of Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Type 1 Diabetes Research or to the Kidney Foundation.
