Cary Dale Ardis

December 31, 1942 – August 13, 2019

Cary Dale Ardis, 76, of Mint Hill, NC, passed away Tuesday, the 13th of August 2019.  He was born the 31st of December 1942 in Charleston, SC, one of three children to the late James Sinclair Ardis and Leona May Ardis.  Carey served in the United States Army and spent most of his career working as a lineman for Duke Power Co.  He loved his two cats: “Kitty Cat” and “Fluffy” and an avid NASCAR fan – his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon.  Having a sweet tooth, he loved eating Milk Duds and Tootsie Rolls.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Diane Ardis of Gastonia, NC; his three daughters: Angela A. Rice and Shannon D. Ardis both of Lincolnton, NC and DeeDee M. Long of Conway, SC; three grandsons: Robert D. Frasure of Dallas, NC, Dustin T. Frasure of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dylan L. Rice of Concord, NC; three granddaughters: Morgan E. Christian of Lincolnton, NC, Morgan P. Anthony and Taylor D. Long of Conway, SC; one great-grandson, Brantley G. Frasure and three great-granddaughters: Nevaeh R. Wilson, Abbigail K. Rice, and Aleeya Z. Frasure; two brothers: James F. Ardis of Summerville, SC and Charles R. Ardis of Roswell, GA; caregiver, Linda Golden of Matthews, NC and several nieces and nephews.

The Ardis family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, the 24th of August 2019 at Ellington Funeral Services, 727 E. Morehead St., Charlotte, NC  28202.
